2 Friends on Rody's Business Islands, Mar's English, Bashing, and Black Prop

This is a conversation I had with JC a couple of days ago. It was about the the most recent stuff that's going on in the national political scene. It was fun, light-hearted and educational for both of us. Sana may mapulot din kayo.

NOTES:
  1. At this point, TP is pro-Duterte and JC is already pro-Mar dahil nagbalik loob siya pagkatapos akong paghirapan. Maryosep.
LOL.
TP: I find Duterte's idea of creating multiple free-zone type islands interesting. have u read my latest article, o ayaw mo na ng stress? Char lang.

JC: I haven't read up. Hinahabol ko ang episodes ng Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Doctor Who at Big Bang Theory.

TP: Hay nako! ‘Yang The Flash at Big Bang Theory, gusto kong sunugin ang monitor ko dahil dyan. Ka-chaka ng latest seasons.

JC: NO SPOILERS!!!

TP: Well, mataas pa rin ratings nila at hindi bumaba. Iba lang siguro expectations ko.

JC: I was bullied as a kid for liking comic book heroes so i had to hide it kaya natutuwa ako kahit gaano kababaw ng episodes.

JC: Baket? Anyare?

TP: Nung inaaway na ako ng mga celebs at nung inaway ako (na intellectual away, not personal, ung parang sa atin) ni Heydarian, after having not chatted with me for a year, tapos kako, "Oh, so they actually do notice me."

JC:LOL. Huh? Sino nang away sa yo?

TP: Leah Navarro, ibang minor celebs.

LOL.

TP: E may sources, ateh. Saka may katwiran naman.

JC: Anyway, now that I'm sober, I understand why I was so pissed.

TP: “Confirmation bias”? LOL phrase of the month.

JC: Kasi... I've known the whole time that Mar is an ADMU high school grad and not an MBA holder. But it came about with the intention of me praying to find out that he is from UP. Immediately after, I found out that he is an undergrad degree holder in UPenn.

TP: Di ko gets.

JC:  Na-agitate ako na galing UP si Binay at Marcos . I was hoping na hindi lang puro taga UP ang sumisira sa Philippine presidency. Hahahaah. That was last summer pa, after kong mag-resign.

TP: UPD naman si Magsaysay. Hindi tayo ganoon kasagwa. Magsaysay's got his share of controversies too pero generally he ain’t that bad.

This was back in 2008 to when he was still a senator, talking to Kenney about his Presidential plans pre-PNoy.

JC: Hay thank God. Naloka ako kung baket naging issue yun.

TP: Well, ang final theory ko dyan ganito –
  1. Mar was intentionally vague when he describes his education, possibly to maximize pogi points.
  2. When Duterte pointed it out, he got really pissed. Parang emperor's new clothes.

TP: Kasi people argue there are many interpretations, pero when you say the same thing to a US Ambassador, that ambassador should not be so confused that she would even relay to the US mainland government and ASEAN na "he's afraid that his Wharton MBA and 10 years on Wall Street make it tough for him to connect with the people".

JC: Uhm... no

TP: Mala-Jurassic Park. LOL. Naaliw ako e hahaha.

JC: Ayoko muna mag work. lol

TP: Ay gaga ka. lol

JC: Dude, I need to clear my head, super burned ako from my past work. Starting over again ang peg.

…an hour or two later…

JC: Dude was Digong serious about Binay if he gets dq'd? May topak net ko. Can't research.

TP: Nah, he was trolling obviously. Sinabi na niya a couple of months ago na magnanakaw si binay e.

JC: Yes

JC: LOL

TP: So hindi, he won’t support Binay. Thats the problem. Filipinos don't know sarcasm, and those who do know sarcasm think it isn't sarcasm because they're not used to seeing sarcasm from politicians. But if it were a dabawenyo who heard that, they would laugh.

JC: LOL

I will be creating a new post re: Ating Busisiin ang Platform ni Digong, dahil may mga twitterers (anti-Duterte) na nagpoint out ng pwedeng butas ng platform niya. Overproduction ng steel globally, businesses don’t keme the nature, etc etc. So i think it's a good thing to discuss.

JC: Go. No problem with the general ideas of his platforms on my part

TP: Oh and wow. People are actually donating ng paunti unti. Nakaka 200 pesos na ako today lol. Juskupo. Pa-sampu-sampu, hahaha.

JC: Donating saan?

TP: Sa Paypal.

JC: Ay bongga!

TP: Oh and secret natin to ha.

[DELETED DAHIL SECRET PA NGA DI BA?]

JC: Is the news true?

TP: Click the link to see. I am still investigating.

Remember that it was allegedly mar who started the black prop when a certain Lustre spread cancer rumours.

JC: Mar denied it.

TP: But he was seen and photographed hanging out with Lustre more than a few times.

Mar Roxas (L) sitting with Philip Lustre (R). Lustre was the one who spread cancer rumors about Duterte.

JC: Sure.

TP: Kasi this is not about duterte anymore. if [SECRET] spreading chismis about Davao Safety that will deprive thousands of people of their livelihood.

JC: But the news they’re spreading about that is true.

TP: Oo, the news is true, but why make it a bigger deal than it is? You’ll just destroy innocent people’s lives. Parang ganito, a girl got raped in Taguig, which is sad, pero its reality. But if a bajillion talk about it then it becomes a really big deal, like people will think Taguig is the Rape Capital or something. If the news was just about one person, tatanggapin ko langblack prop nila. Pero if it can destroy the reputation of a tourism-dependent city, why would you do it?

JC: May point ka... but the whole fiasco started when Duterte's campaign started with the idea that Davao is like Camelot.

TP: Actually it started with the cancer rumours.

TP: What do you mean ba na Camelot? na perfect? na walled at hyper militaristic? It can go either way.

JC: No.

TP: E anu ngang Camelot?

JC: The “vote Duterte because Davao is perfectly safe” rhetoric.

TP: True, Davao is Duterte’s exhibit A, which is a good exhibit A. The problem, however, is when people make up lies to discredit exhibit A.

JC: That rhetoric plus the stance na “anyone who doesn't like Duterte does not understand what's happening in Davao”. So it's daring non Dutertans to look for dirt.

TP: That's also possible and politically understandable, keri lang sa akin yan. However, what i don't understand are the moralists who condemn him for alleged extrajudicial killings when in fact they do extremely immoral stuff too.

JC: Regarding the [SECRET], must you go after Mar?

TP: No. i will just say that the problem exists. I can't claim na it’s Mar if I have no direct evidence. Puro circumstantial evidence lang ang nakikita ko, that's a very weak case para malink directly si Mar.

TP: Ay wait! nasusunog ang sinaing. BRB TTYL.

FINAL NOTE: Pro-Mar man si JC, huwag niyo siyang i-bash. Respetuhin niyo ang desisyon niya dahil boto niya yon. Masamang mag-bash. Peace out mga friendships. (TP)
SUPER FINAL NOTE: Marami raw nabitin, so nakipag-chikahan pa ako sa iba kong kaibigan. CLICK HERE KUNG GUSTO MO PA. Hehe!
